Anker製5ポートUSB充電器「PowerPort 5」が故障したので問い合わせてみました

Anker製5ポート充電器「PowerPort 5」を2年前から愛用してきたのですが、最近になって中央の1個のポートで充電ができなくなってしまいました。

調べてみたところ、この製品でよく起こる問題のようです。
過電流が流れた場合、機器を保護するためにヒューズが切断されて、使用できなくなるようです。
5ポートのうち1ポートが使えないだけなのであまり深刻な問題ではありませんが、気になるので修理したいと思い、Ankerに問い合わせました。
問い合わせ方法は、注文時に送られてきた「Anker：製品のご使用状況とレビューのお願い」のメールに返信するのが一番スムーズだと思います。

Ankerからの返信は「製品の修理は基本的に受け付けていない。すべて交換で対応している。交換できるのは購入から18ヶ月の保証期間内の製品のみ。」という返信をいただきました。
私は2年以上前に購入していたため保証期間は終了していましたが、今回はAnkerの好意で特別に無償で交換していただけることになりました。

交換品は問い合わせてから2日後に届きました。送料はすべてAnker負担でした。
発送方法はゆうメールでしたが、サイズが大きく一般的なポストには入らないため、配達員から手渡しでの受け取りになるかと思います。

交換品は箱ごと届きましたが、故障品の返送は本体と電源ケーブルのみで良いそうです。

ちなみに、返送用の封筒の内側にはプチプチが貼り付けられていたので、緩衝材のようなものは用意不要でした。返送は封筒に入れてポストに出すだけで、非常に簡単でした。

品質が良いため以前からAnker製品を愛用してきましたが、今回の一件でサポートの丁寧さも実感することができましたので、今後も応援していきたいと思います。

dodocoolから極薄モバイルバッテリーのサンプルが送られてきたのでレビューしていく。

パッケージの背面には２５００ｍAhと記載されている。表記通りのバッテリー容量であれば一般的なスマートフォンを一回充電可能だ。

本体はこんな感じ。厚さはなんと8mmというから驚きだ。
本体も非常に軽く、持ち運びに最適である。
Type C Power Bankも薄くて軽かったがこの商品はそれを凌駕している。

このようにMicro USBケーブルが収納されているのでこれだけでスマートフォンの充電が可能。

充電中は本体のランプが点灯する。

Apple MFi認定のアダプタも一緒に収納されているのでiPhoneを利用しているユーザーも安心して利用できる。

バッテリー本体とMicroUSBケーブルが入っていますが、Type-C対応ケーブルは入っていない為、利用する場合は自身で準備しておく必要があります。

ポートは充電用のMicro USBが一つ、出力用の従来のUSBが一つ、入出力対応のUSB Type-Cポートが一つ。

iPhoneと比較するとかなりの薄さであることがわかる。これならポケットに入れても問題ないのではないレベル。

139gという軽さも魅力的。

給電時、本体に搭載されているランプが点灯するので、どのくらいバッテリー残量があるか確認できます。しかし、確認用のボタンなどは存在しない為やや不便かなと思います。

USB Type-Cポートは入出力対応なので別途ケーブルは必要ですが、バッテリー本体を充電することも、モバイルデバイスを充電することも可能となっています。

機能やパッケージ内容は最小限だが、これから主流になるであろうUSB Type-Cが利用できるのは大きな魅力と言えます。

デザインもよく、薄くて軽いので毎日持ち歩きたくなるバッテリーに仕上がっています。ほとんどのスマートフォンを1-2回充電可能な為、数日の旅行などでない限りこれで十分だと思われます。

HTC 10用のガラスフィルムをAmazonで注文しました。

他の地域で販売されているAndroid Oneよりスペックはいいですね。

防水やワンセグで日本仕様のAndroid Oneですが、おサイフケータイ等には対応しません。

ちなみに今回の507SHでは、Y!mobileブランドを運営するソフトバンク側が、Google側にAndroid One端末の開発を持ちかけたそうです。

Android Oneにはプリインストールアプリに大きな制限は無く、重要なのは迅速なOS更新に対応できるかどうかという一点。開発の時点では次期OSのAndroid Nougat(Android N)の次となる「Android O」までをも見据え、迅速なOSバージョンアップと両立できるローカルフィットの検討を重ねたとのことなのでAndroid Oへのアップデートの可能性も濃厚ですね。

いずれにせよ国内初のAndroid Oneデバイスということで期待が高まります。
